The Office of the CFO Division is looking to recruit a Graduate Accountant for the Financial Planning and Reporting Unit to assist in the delivery of financial services that support the City's operation. The successful applicant will be working across a wide range of activities including financial accounting, treasury management, indirect tax, management reporting and improvement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure allocated monthly financial reporting deliverables are completed accurately within timetable deadlines.
- Undertake ad hoc financial analysis as directed supported by appropriate and clearly presented documentation.
- Undertake periodic reviews of internal control systems to consider possibilities for improvement and to ensure compliance
- Assist in the preparation of the City’s Annual Financial Statements and Quarterly Financial Reviews
- Participate in special projects to review the City’s operations including cost of service provision
- Present financial results to all levels of the organisation
Applicants need to possess or be close to completing tertiary studies in a financial discipline, have to desire to work in a team of committed professionals and a willingness to learn. In return, a successful applicant will gain experience in a industry leading financial services Unit.
