We are seeking a Graduate Analyst to join our Digital and Technology Services division. Spanning 18 months the successful candidate will undertake 6 rotations across the Data and Solutions department to assist in the creation and distribution of actionable insights, analyses and reporting solutions to aide in improving AV's performance.
To ensure they are supported the Graduate Analyst will officially report to the Senior Manager Insights Centre, while each rotation will see them guided by experienced professionals within that speciality.
This is an 18 month fixed term, full time opportunity. Hybrid working options are available however it is essential that the successful candidate maintains a presence at our Blackburn North Business Centre in line with AV's hybrid work model.
About the role
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare appropriate responses to requests from external parties and regulatory bodies, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of reports and alignment to privacy, security, and other regulatory / compliance policies
- Support AV's Information Management program through collaborating on data quality and reference data projects as well as undertaking User Acceptance Testing, in collaboration with the broader Insights Centre and DTS functions
- Provide analytical support for strategic projects, both internally and externally to AV, including participating in project teams, committees, working groups
- Take accountability for specific data analysis tasks and actioning requests for stakeholders, as required
- Creation, delivery and maintenance of official reports and dashboards, including accountability for accuracy, quality and delivering reports by required deadlines
Selection criteria
To be considered for this position you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in a data related discipline (or combination of training & relevant experience)
- Experience
- analysing large and complex data sets
- presenting findings as meaningful narratives for stakeholders
- developing analytical products such as reports and dashboards and
- using data and analysis systems including (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, R, Python, ETL, RPD)
- Personal attributes
- judgement when determining an appropriate course of action
- problem solving & lateral thinking skills and
- communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of project management principles
