The Opportunity:

With close to 600 employees and counting across SA, VIC, NSW and QLD, you will be joining a specialist high-voltage engineering and project delivery contractor who connect power utilities to the electricity grid. We have the largest in-house engineering team of any contractor with over 100 engineers and you will be provided with the right guidance and mentoring from our industry leading team, to help you build your career and grow professionally.

The Beginning of your Journey:

Our CPP Charles Wright Graduate Program program provides experience across a minimum of three key disciplines of HV substation and grid connection engineering, including Primary Engineering, Secondary Engineering and Commissioning. As one of our graduates, you will have the opportunity to rotate through these disciplines, in order to build a broad understanding of engineering, construction, testing/commissioning, the HV industry, our business, and to prepare the Graduate for opportunities for advancement at CPP.

The duration of the program is 2 years where you work on major HV projects under the supervision of some of the most experienced Electrical Engineers in the industry, gaining hands-on exposure on major HV construction projects across Australia including substations, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS') and Windfarms.

About you:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or studying your final year), preferably within the last 4 years, with specialisation in electrical, electronics and/or high voltage power engineering
  • Must be studying your undergraduate degree at an Australian University
  • A great attitude with a proactive mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
