Who we are looking for:

We are seeking Graduate Engineer to join our hardworking and motivated team. 

As a graduate Engineer you will be responsible for undertaking engineering-based projects, undertaking business improvements activities, supporting the development of operational documentation and undertaking quality management & operational support tasks. You will be responsible for coordinating with various different stakeholders, internally and externally, as various projects progress. This opportunity will enable you to explore various parts of Teekay’s operation and work on different maritime vessels over time. 

Major Responsibilities:

• Act as the project lead on small projects or multi-discipline tasks involved different organisations, departments and/or groups.
• Performing and coordinating engineering work with minimal supervision. Able to recognize priorities and undertake tasks accordingly.
• Undertake basic project management activities in support of Commercial and contractual related tasks. Prepare briefing material and present briefings to provide management, customers and vendors with recommendations/suggestions that address project and operational issues.
• Prepare technical reports, investigations and calculation in support of engineering changes. Display a working technical knowledge of Ship operations and mechanical/Maritime engineering systems.  Providing technical input into operational process including management, process, design, contracts and procurement.
• Develop a working understanding of the Teekay Quality Management System and Operational processes/procedures. Ensure practices adopted reflect a commitment to the highest standard in HSEQ & QA.
• Monitor project budgets on a regular basis, taking remedial as and when required. Keep relevant stakeholders informed of budgetary status via regular financial reports. 
• Encourage and lead the innovation and development of new procedures. Development and reporting of metrics and KPIs

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skill and Abilities): 

Education & Knowledge Areas

Essential

• A Tertiary Qualification in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/Marine/Aerospace)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships between team members and clients
• A strong background with Microsoft 365 Office suite of programs. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Self-motivated, with a high level of initiative, able to work independently

Desirable

• Advanced Skills/experience in using MS Office software
• Class C Drivers license
• An understanding of Engineering and design implications in ship design, construction and operations. 
• An understanding of marine operations and marine activities.
• Detailed knowledge of engineering, systems and/or process design theory
• Knowledge of business development and project scoping activities 
• Knowledge of project management or business improvement principles.
