About the Opportunity
At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our community. To help us achieve this we are seeking a Graduate Construction Engineer. The successful applicant will be provide engineering support to the operations and construction projects of Council's waste, water, recycled water and wastewater process related projects to enhance services for residential and commercial users.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Recent Tertiary qualification in Civil, Environmental. Chemical/Process Engineering or a related discipline, or currently enrolled in a degree course and working in the water or sewerage industry.
- Understanding of the water supply and sewage industry.
- A demonstrated understanding of project planning and management.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including report writing skills.
- Advanced computer skills, including the use of spreadsheets and databases.
- Ability to participate in after-hour on-call roster.
On a typical day this role will:
- Provide engineering support to construction and operations projects within the Utilities Operations Group.
- Prepare Exempt Developments and Review of Environmental Factors (REFs).
- Prepare and review tender and contract documentation.
- Document network operation procedures.
- Participate as Duty Officer in an after hours on-call roster.
- Prepare and review site safety documentation.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): In the range of $83,843 to $104,718 depending on skills and experience.
This role also qualifies for on-call allowance, 3.5% civil liability allowance and leaseback or vehicle allowance.
