Graduate Engineers

We’re seeking final year engineering students who are keen to join Engeny’s Integrated Water Planning or Flooding and Stormwater teams.

About You

If you're nearing the end of your undergraduate or postgraduate journey in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, we want to hear from you. Do you possess an interest in water, coupled with a drive to forge a sustainable future? Are you hungry for continuous learning, eager to collaborate with industry experts, and adept at both independent work and team dynamics? If so, you're exactly who we're looking for!

Prior industry exposure or relevant coursework, particularly in water-related fields, is a definite plus. Additionally, familiarity with mapping software such as QGIS and water modelling software like EPANet or TUFLOW will be considered favourably.

About the Teams

The Integrated Water Planning team works across all stages of the water cycle, from the catchment to the tap and back. We deliver solutions to complex problems within the water supply, wastewater and treatment space, working mainly for water utilities, Local Councils and private industry. Some of the areas we work in are: drinking water, raw water, sewerage and recycled water services from rural to bulk supply, industrial and agricultural applications; strategy development, planning and design of integrated water supply systems; drought management, water security, climate change assessments and contingency planning; treatment process design, modelling and troubleshooting of drinking water, wastewater and recycled water systems; hydraulic and water quality network modelling, model build, calibration, verification and operational performance; asset management including reliability and criticality assessments and risk-based planning.

The Flood, Stormwater and Waterway Management team delivers a wide variety of projects from the due diligence and feasibility stage through to concept and detailed engineering design and construction support. Some of their focus areas include hydrologic analysis (catchment rainfall / runoff) and hydraulic (1D and 2D) flood modelling; flood risk and impact assessment; flood forecasting, flood emergency response and flood warning systems; floodplain management including mitigation planning and design; dam break analysis, consequence assessments and dam safety reviews; development of flood overlays for Planning Schemes and Local Environment Plans; preparation of stormwater / flood management plans; stormwater and flood management policy and strategy; and the planning and design of integrated stormwater management systems.
