Role Description
Applications for Graduate Investment Analysts January 2025 intake are now open. The successful candidates will become active members of the team and work on a diverse range of projects throughout the lifecycle of private equity. This includes working on the initial investment decision and helping close the deal, through to actively working with management to solve their hardest problems. This role is broad and combines both investment and strategy/management consulting work.
The Graduate Investment Analyst role will provide you the opportunity to:
- Work with ex-consultants and investment bankers in a stimulating, fast-paced and intellectually challenging environment
- Learn and apply your skills across a diverse range of industries
- Assisting in transaction processes (including acquisitions, sales, equity market listings and debt raisings) and actively participating in deal negotiations and due diligence
- Collaborate with portfolio company senior leadership teams on real world problems at the board level
- Combine investment analysis, corporate finance, business strategy, and implementation.
Requirements
To apply, candidate must have:
- Minimum 80 grade average (or 75 if studying law) from a top university; or
- Internship experience with a top-tier investment bank, consulting firm or big 6 law firm; or
- Represented Australia in a sport or academic pursuit (e.g. debating) in the past 4 years; or
- Demonstrated success in a unique extracurricular activity (e.g. founded a business or meaningful charity).
The ideal candidate will:
- Be naturally inquisitive, analytical, imaginative and commercially minded
- Motivated to work as a team member and contribute to evolving the firm’s culture
- Have a high degree of comfort working with numbers and be able to draw real world conclusions from their work
