Your role
As an engineering consultant, you will be involved in and make recommendations to clients on the fire safety of their building projects as well as their products and systems. Your role will be to work with clients to understand their problems, develop solutions, and implement them in practical ways.
This role will expose you to a diverse range of projects and clients, offering you the opportunity to gain practical experience and knowledge across a variety of industries. You will work alongside experienced engineers and be provided with mentoring and support to grow your skills and career.
As a new graduate, working as an engineering consultant will allow you to continually develop your skills and knowledge through ongoing training and development opportunities. You will be encouraged to take ownership of your work, collaborate with colleagues, and participate in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Undertake fire testing engineering analysis of products, designs and elements of construction to evaluate the fire safety and compliance.
- Preparation of formal quotes
- Preparation of reports
- Liaise with clients and design teams and discuss / negotiate with the approval authorities
- Contribute positively to an enjoyable and productive team environment, consistent with the values of Warringtonfire Australia

About you
The ideal candidate will possess.
- University engineering undergraduate degree or higher
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to write clear and concise reports.
- The ability to work within a team environment.
- Prior knowledge of the National Construction Code – Building Code of Australia is an advantage but not required
- Familiarity with testing and design standards and other relevant industry standards in Australia or internationally is an advantage but not required
