The Task
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Engineer to join the team, based in the northern suburbs of Sydney. This role offers the perfect blend of technical expertise and customer interaction. Ideal for professionals seeking to transition to a dynamic sales environment that will see the successful person grow quickly into an interstate and international sales environment with a reasonable amount of travel within the first year (up to 90 days per annum). The Person
You are a listener, ready to learn, ambitious and looking for growth in a highly Technical Sales role, where your newly acquired knowledge will support our customers in finding the best solutions ‘tailored’ to addressing their challenges. You will come with a solid technical background in chemistry, process, sciences, or mechanical engineering. Either Degree qualified, or with relevant trade qualifications that are supported with ‘hands-on’ experience. You will have a strong customer focus and find it natural to cultivate and nurture relationships with existing clients, while actively pursuing new business prospects.
You can manage and grow accounts in sectors such as OEM's, Processing companies in Sugar, Plastic Recycling, Food, Chemical and Mineral processing, Marine and Water Treatment through both direct sales and via a distribution model. You will be comfortable in close collaboration with internal teams with an ability to leverage technology-based systems to ensure seamless delivery and exceed customer expectations for long term customer relations. You are an excellent communicator supported by strong spoken and written English skills.
