WesTrac is seeking a motivated Graduate Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer to join our dynamic team!
Reporting to the Technical Engineering Manager/Product Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting certified, safe, and legally compliant Engineered Designs, located at our Parts Distribution Centre in South Guildford, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior team members to develop certified, safe, and legally compliant Engineered Designs for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyse Engineering Work Requests and consult with stakeholders to create designs meeting technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Conduct compliance, safety, and risk assessments to ensure the integrity of our designs.
- Produce 3D models of modifications to CAT machinery using Inventor CAD software.
- Work with Electrical Engineers in developing the design documentation.
- Create design verification plans, test procedures, and reports.
- Provide Engineering support to various facets of WesTrac's business operations.
- Maintain and organise Engineering records in accordance with WesTrac quality systems.
Essential Requirements:
- Recently completed Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, with the ability to work full-time.
- Strong theoretical understanding of engineering fundamentals.
- Advanced computer literacy skills.
- Exceptional time management and organisational abilities.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ethical conduct and professional accountability.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in working autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of mobile plant operations.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Inventor.
