The Opportunity
AWH invites Registered Nurses wishing to pursue a career in Mental Health to apply for our Mental Health Graduate Nurse program. Our comprehensive 2 year program will provide a supportive learning environment to guide you as you transition from novice to confident and skilled Mental Health Clinician. We offer:
• A supportive team environment
• Rotations through our Mental Health Adult Acute Inpatient Units and Community teams that provide Mental Health support across the lifespan
• Regular individual and group clinical supervision
• Dedicated educational support from Nursing and Allied Health Educators, the Mental Health Professional Development and Practice team as well as experienced Mentors and Clinicians across the service
Duration:
• A 2-year program starting in February
• Part time employment (0.8 EFT) to allow for work life balance.
• Paid study days throughout the year
• Support to complete Post Graduate Qualifications in Mental Health

Candidates must meet the following mandatory criteria to be eligible to apply:
• AHPRA registration prior to commencement
• Completion of the undergraduate course within the previous 12 months
• Not currently in a graduate program
• Registered with the PMCV Allocation and Placement Service
