You'll hear from one of the Leaders in our team who'll outline some of the topics we cover, as well as talking you through a bit more of what we do in GHD Advisory.The Virtual Internship should only take you 4-5 hours to complete We're not asking you to undertake complex calculations, but rather understand some of the challenge we work with on a day-to-day basis.To learn more, access our .Who are we looking for?We are looking for Electrical Engineers, or students from a similar degree who have power engineering and/or power system design as part of your coursework. This position can be based in either Melbourne, Perth or Brisbane for our 2025 graduate program.Our Regulation & Assurance enters projects differently to our Engineering teams, in a more strategic capacity. Regulation & Assurance provides multiple avenues of support to the wider electricity market, from technical advice through to governance and strategy. As the home for all generator connection studies across the GHD business in Australia & New Zealand, our team engage heavily with both traditional generators and renewable companies.Typically, our Regulation & Assurance team:

• Leverage a deep understanding of power system capability
• Simulate and model the power network
• Develop grid connection studies
• Work with Electricity systems and market operations to help clients extract value while supporting the transition to net-zero emissions.

While involvement in governance and strategy, you will learn from industry leaders and develop a deep appreciation of Power Systems and associated markets, including the water, resources & transport sectors. You will build your knowledge and capability across:

• Technical assurance audits,
• Pricing,
• Regulation and
• Access assignments.

From there, the rest of our recruitment process includes:

• A Video Interview, where you'll get the chance to introduce yourself and make another positive impression on both our TA team and hiring managers.
• Formal interviews, either in person or via MS Teams. Prior to our interview we'll also ask you to go through some online testing through one of our providers, Saville.
• An offer, where we'll go through your hourly rate and the start date for our program, as well as flagging our background checking process.
