We are not only renowned for importing and selling high quality natural stone and a premium range of tools and equipment, but we install, service and maintain a wide range of industrial CNC stone processing machinery for customers across Australia.
With a history of hiring and developing engineering graduates and progressing them in the business, we are now looking for our next Graduate Technician to join our Service Department.
About the Role
Across your first 6 months, you will travel to and live in Melbourne and go through a structured training and induction program at our national head office with accommodation and expenses accounted for. You will then be able to move back to your home state and join the established team in Arundel.
As part of the role, you will work closely with Senior Technicians to:
- Work with a cohort of fellow graduates to develop your skills and knowledge across a broad range of machines and across a number of industry brands, including; GMM, Burkhardt and Thibaut to name a few.
- Gain practical hands-on and theoretical skills.
- Assist Senior Technicians to effectively maintain machinery across Melbourne (before going back to your home state).
- Conduct root cause analysis, fault-finding and diagnosing efficient solutions to machine breakdowns.
- Execute the installation process from pre-site inspection, overseeing the delivery of machines, assembling the machines through to training end users.
- Act as a key point of contact for the customer, you will represent the brand and communicate with key stakeholders from Production Managers to small business owners.
- We have a history of training and developing graduates. Receive guided training and support from Senior Technicians.
- From GMM Bridge Saws to Techni Waterjets, you will have the opportunity to service the most sophisticated stone-processing machinery on the market.

- You love finding solutions to difficult problems and perhaps this is why you have enjoyed your engineering degree.
- Your interest for problem solving extends outside the classroom where you may find yourself investigating issues with your washing machine, dishwasher or oven and take pride in being able to find the fault and repair the issue yourself.
- While you enjoyed the theory behind mechanical systems, what gave you the most energy in your course were the practical lab classes you got to experience. Because of this you are now looking for a career where you can roll up your sleeves and be hands on in your work.
