Summary:
We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our team. The role will involve graphic design work to support project briefs from both AU and US Marketing teams. You will be responsible for establishing design frameworks/wireframes, preparing artwork including typography design and image retouching, as well as developing designs for campaigns and ad-hoc communications.
Print support materials include; trade and retail magazine advertising, catalogue/product listing, quick reference guides, instructions manuals, flyers, brochures and other work as required. Digital communications include; weekly EDM newsletters, daily social media posts, developing graphics for video content and other work as required. Graphic artwork includes icon illustration, product packaging requirements, photo retouching, 3D image render editing and other work as required.
You will join our existing Creative team, taking direction from our Lead Graphic & Digital Designer and external part time Art Director. The role involves substantial direction and interaction with the Sales, Marketing and Product Management teams located at our Melbourne & Stamford USA offices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop designs that meet required objectives, to support campaign plans established by the Marketing Team for a number of product brands.
• Draft EDM visuals for communications to the Australian & US customer database. Approx. 5 per month.
• Produce advertisements which meet communication plan or Product Manager direction, both for trade and consumer publications.
• Liaise with printers and manage print production for brochures & custom print jobs.
• Draft visuals for internal communications & events.
• Actively participate in and contribute to regular creative meetings. Encourage ideas sharing.
• Support and provide assistance to the Marketing Team throughout the execution of marketing campaigns and projects.
• Provide design assistance for events such as trade shows and conferences.
• Update current marketing collateral to conform with new branding / template assets as established and rolled out.
• Create/update company templates/documents developed in Microsoft Office & Adobe design programs in accordance with corporate style guidelines. Ensure we add an element of smarts to our templating process for easy and efficient production.
• Ensure utilisation of adobe tools and programs to maximum efficiency.
• Assist with document control and file organisation; including photography, branding assets and all support documentation.
• Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders especially the Marketing, Sales & Product Management teams.
• Perform any other duties as directed by the Marketing Team.
Key Experience and attributes
Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree or Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design.
• At least 2-3 years’ experience working as a Graphic Designer in an either an agency or industry business.
• Proficiency in using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and associated plug-ins.
• The ability to work with minimum supervision, in a competent and efficient manner.
• Possess a 'can-do' attitude, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• The ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment, with attention to detail.
• The ability to deliver projects from inception through to production and delivery.
• Strong organisational skills to effectively manage priorities. We use a task management system called Wrike (will provide in house training and support).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• The motivation to maintain design work to a consistently high standard and improve where possible regardless of project scale.
• Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
Highly Regarded:
• Experience with B2B marketing communication plan & visuals.
• A background working as part of an in-house/corporate or studio design team.
