An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled Graphic Designer to join the growing Oreana team

The Role

Reporting directly to the Director – Marketing, Communications & Sales, the Graphic Designer’s role is key in supporting the brand and strategy agency in the delivery of assets across Oreana’s portfolio in line with the repositioning of the Oreana brand set to launch in August 2024. 

Joining at a pivotal time in the business’ journey, the Graphic Designer will make an invaluable contribution as the business embarks on a significant growth trajectory. 

The role will be the ‘engine room’ for the creative business and in doing so, will be required to be highly collaborative, working closely with a wide variety of stakeholders, from junior to senior executives within the broader team. This is key as the role will act as brand custodian within the internal team.

With such a significant investment in Oreana’s brand and corporate vision, the Graphic Designer will be afforded the opportunity to expand beyond simply the delivery of well-designed assets. 

To ensure true brand alignment, the Graphic Designer will work closely with Oreana’s brand agency and going forward the role will maintain this relationship to ensure the brand evolution is executed appropriately. 

Beyond the corporate brand, the Graphic Designer will also have the opportunity to develop unique visual and brand identities backed by strong strategies for both commercial and residential assets.

Key Responsibilities and Capabilities

  • Delivery of end-to-end campaigns and projects with autonomy.
  • Critically review existing processes and procedures to ensure that campaigns are delivered to a high standard and on time.
  • Strong graphic design capability across the required suite of graphic design software and tools.
  • Strong capability to design for print-based creative solutions.
  • Strong capability to design for digital-based creative solutions.
  • Strong understanding of finished artwork process.
  • Strong understanding of brand creation process.
  • Strong capability to interpret a client brief and translate that into a creative solution.
  • Developing capability to deliver unique and impactful creative solutions.
  • Strong capability to deliver creative solutions with absolute attention to detail.
  • Developing capability to undertake project research and deliver copy as required.

Qualifications and Role Criteria 

  • Completion of a relevant degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training. 
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Graphic Designer or equivalent support role.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and organise, showing initiative, exceptional time management skills and strong attention to detail with limited supervision.  
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders. 
  • Strong degree of problem-solving skills in addition to the provision of sound judgement when decision making is required. 
  • High degree of professionalism and judgement with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality 
  • Exceptional design skills with a creative and strategic mindset and ability to think outside the box.
