We are currently looking for an innovative Graphic Designer/Art Room Operator to join a knowledgeable and hard-working team, in a rewarding and modern environment. We're searching for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for design and print production and a keen eye for quality.
As a Graphic Design/Art Room Operator with OBH, you'll embark on an exhilarating journey where no two days are alike. Get ready to showcase your creative flair and play a pivotal role in ensuring our print production process runs seamlessly and efficiently.
The Position:
The role will include but is not limited to the following:
- Preparing artwork in line with company and industry standards to achieve the highest quality production outcome with respect to client specification
- Working on projects varying from briefs based on set style, templates or full custom pieces
- Working closely with our valued clients and maintaining strong, ongoing working relationships
- Collaborating across our design and production teams to optimise file layouts and colour accuracy
- Making any alterations requested by the client, double checking that all alterations have been actioned and the resupplying a new proof until approved and ready for production.
- Converting approved art files for digital printing
- Conducting pre-flight checks to identify and rectify any errors or issues in the artwork
- Troubleshooting issues and providing solutions to ensure seamless print production
We are looking for an experienced candidate who has:
- Previous experience in pre-press operations within the printing industry
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- A strong understanding of color management, file formats, and print production processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- A positive attitude and friendly approach
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
