Grid Connection Engineer

Are you a talented Grid Connection Engineer looking for a new opportunity in the renewable energy sector? We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual with proven experience in Grid Connection and stakeholder engagement, as well as a solid technical understanding of the NER rule, to join our clients team.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for renewable energy sites, including preliminary grid data analysis and liaison with AEMO and network service providers.
• Manage PSSE and PSCAD models, assist with asset management, and provide design inputs for Grid Connection aspects of projects.
• Support Business Development activities by preparing tenders, contributing to financial models, and attending meetings and conferences.
• Continuously learn new technical skills to stay updated with market and industry technology trends.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of the National Electricity Market and transmission systems.
• Experience in connecting projects to the NEM through the AEMO registration process.
• Proficiency in generator connection processes, regulatory frameworks, and power systems modelling tools.

Example Projects in Australia: * Successfully connected a large-scale wind farm project to the National Electricity Market, optimizing grid performance and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Led the Grid Connection process for a solar farm development, coordinating with AEMO and NSPs to achieve seamless integration into the transmission system.
• Implemented innovative solutions for improving grid stability and efficiency in a hydroelectric power project, demonstrating expertise in PSSE and PSCAD simulation tools.
