- Knowledge of the principles and requirements for grid integration in renewable energy projects - wind farms (beneficial)
- Understanding of the National Electricity Rules, the prerequisites for connections, and the responsibilities and rights of connecting generators.
- 2-3 years' minimum of experience in related roles in the workplace.
- Technology expertise in solar, wind, and BESS projects - highly desirable.
- Ability to successfully handle several tasks at once has been demonstrated.
- Provide technical, commercial, and contractual support (including external consultant engagement) to the Grid Connection Manager (GCM) for both new and current Grid Connections, especially within the Wind portfolio.
- Contribute Grid Connection and technical design-related information to the creation of project documentation and approval papers.
- Conduct an initial evaluation of the limitations pertaining to system strength and capacity, assist with the creation of technical designs, and supply technical inputs needed to support commercial agreements, such as connection prices and schedule.
- As needed, proactively manage counterparts such as TNSPs, AEMOs, and DNSPs.
