Plantech began operation in 1996 as a part time one person horticultural service business and has grown into a 16 person (full time equivalent), quickly expanding commercial grounds maintenance and landscaping operation.

Your application should demonstrate examples of:
- Experience in the Horticultural/Gardening industry including; irrigation; plant care; pesticide and disease management; herbicide knowledge and application inclusive of broadacre; fire mitigation/fire breaks; soft landscaping

Your job responsibilities will include:
- Team leadership – on and off job training, mentoring and discipline
- Client liaison and quoting
- Actively assist in business management, planning and goal setting
- Manage marketing initiatives and planning
- Office/ administration competence
- Horticultural advise and landscape planning.
- Planning, installation, and maintenance of reticulation systems
- Workshop management, machine and tool maintenance, and vehicle maintenance
- Compliance with all Company Policies, Standards, Procedures, and SWP’s.
- Assist in safety management in achieving the ZERO INJURIES goal
- Ensuring that work area, tools and equipment are in a clean and tidy condition and not interfering with or misusing protective equipment, personal or mechanical, that has been provided or installed for the purpose of Health and Safety.
- Actively assessing safety and environment risks prior to commencing and during work, rectifying hazards where this is within your ability and reporting those which cannot be rectified to the Workshop leading hand/Manager.
- Carrying out any other activities directed by your general manager which are within your competence.
- Active participation in training and development activities and transfer of skills to the job
- Reporting any incident, accident, near miss, environmental, or machine damage to your gardening supervisor/ manager.
- Reporting all other relevant business and job processes, activities, and developments to maintain an informed and proactive management and employee base.
MUST HAVE:
- Horticultural certificate or 5+years of varied experience
- Pesticide application license
- Manual C-Class License
- Supervisory Experience 2+years
- Computer Literate and able to use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and MYOB.
- The ability to train others and be of an inclusive nature.
- The ability to liaise with clients, customers and staff
