Sharp Airlines is a dynamic regional airline operating from South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania with RPT, Charter and FIFO contracts. We currently operate a fleet of sixteen SA227 Metro aircraft.
Sharp Airlines is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to join our team as Ground Services Supervisor. The Ground Services Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of all ground handling activities at our busy Launceston terminal, including passenger check-in, aircraft loading and freight operations.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure that staff and contractors comply with all safety and WHS requirements.
- Development and allocation of weekly rosters.
- Coordination of resources to ensure all operational requirements are met.
- Supervision of all aspects of ground handling operations.
- Provide outstanding customer service to every guest, every flight, every day.
- Accept and consign air freight.
- Liaise with flight crew, engineering and reservations.
- Completion of all company reporting requirements.
- Liaise with key clients and freight customers.
- Monitor and report on the condition of ground service equipment.
- Collaborate with the Manager Ground Services on the continuous improvement of ground handling policies and procedures.
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience in customer service and ground handling operations.
- Previous experience supervising and managing operational teams.
- Excellent personal presentation and a pleasant manner.
- Sound organisational skills.
- Excellent customer service manner.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
- The ability to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC).
- The ability to work accurately and neatly.
- The ability to lift up to 32kg.
