As a Ground Standards Compliance Advisor, you'll oversee and enhance compliance with the Airport Operations Licence (AOL) and SYD Airside Rules. This involves conducting detailed operational observations of licensees, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to discuss findings, and working collaboratively to resolve any issues.
You'll play a crucial role in maintaining the safety, environmental, and operational standards at Sydney Airport by providing support, developing performance reports, and investigating non-compliances.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct observations to ensure compliance with the AOL and SYD Airfield Operations Standards. This includes working closely with internal business units for comprehensive operational oversight.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to address and close out findings, ensuring all parties are aligned and any issues are promptly resolved.
- Generate insightful reports for AOL signatories, highlighting performance and compliance levels. Assist in the formulation of regular performance reporting to support decision-making at both individual licensee and community levels.
- Offer ongoing support to licensees to promote compliance with the AOL. This involves identifying and recommending corrective actions to address any observation findings.
- Review and investigate alleged breaches of the AOL or SYD Airside Rules, determining the necessity for additional support or enforcement action against licensees.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Proactive individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety and operational integrity.
- Effective communicators who can bridge the gap between Sydney Airport and its licensees, ensuring clear and productive dialogue.
- Problem solvers & self-sufficient, who are adept at analysing complex situations and developing practical solutions.
- Team players who are equally comfortable working independently or as part of a dynamic team.
What you'll bring:
- Previous experience in airport, airline, or ground handling operations is highly advantageous. This includes expertise in coordinating and reviewing operational safety and compliance.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to develop clear and actionable reports.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of successful stakeholder management.
- Either formal safety investigation qualifications, such as ICAM, or relevant investigation experience, are highly valued. This expertise will enable you to effectively investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Lead Auditor Qualifications and /or experience with conducting audits in an operational environment is highly desirable.
- A valid NSW Driving Licence and ability to hold or to currently hold a Cat 2 ADA or higher is necessary for on-site mobility and operational observations.
