Grounds and Maintenance Officer
A unique opportunity exists for an experienced Grounds and Maintenance Officer, who is passionate about the upkeep and Maintenance of Grounds and property. Immanuel Primary School is offering a full-time, permanent position.
The Grounds and Maintenance Officer, as part of the Property and Facilities team, will be jointly responsible for the maintenance of the School buildings, grounds, infrastructure and equipment to the highest possible standard, to provide an efficient, effective and safe teaching and learning environment for staff and students. They will also assist in event and function set ups and set downs.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have proven experience in a Grounds and Maintenance role.
- Ideally have a Certificate III or trade qualification in your area of expertise.
- Demonstrate knowledge and an understanding of legislation that relates to building regulations, construction and relevant statutory requirements.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the principles and practices of Work, Health and Safety and Risk Management.
- Have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with staff, students, families, external contractors and suppliers.
- Be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Training. In addition, the incumbent is required to adhere to the School’s Child Safe Program.
