About the roleMaintenance officer at LHG reports to General Manager Facilities and safety or their nominated delegate and undertake a range of programmed and reactive maintenance tasks which contribute to a safe & quality environment for LHG staff and residents. The job duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintain LHG property to a high standard, prioritizing safety and compliance with Australian building codes and safety standards.
- Review, assign, and address maintenance requests promptly.
- Coordinate and supervise approved contractors.
- Participate in on-call roster for on-site support.
- Organise and manage scheduled maintenance programs.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and equipment upkeep.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete reports.
- Perform general maintenance tasks.
- A strong understanding of general maintenance
- Ability to use various tools and equipment safely
- Physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role including safe bending, lifting and carrying
- Good interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels
- Previous experience in aged care is highly desirable
Candidates may be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment with the successful candidate requiring current NDIS worker clearance. In accordance with current health guidelines for the aged care sector, candidates are encouraged to have all recommended vaccinations.
