DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include, but not limited to:
Maintenance and Grounds
• Assist in undertaking general tasks required as per the grounds and maintenance schedule, within the requirements of the role, in a timely and competent manner.
• Perform gardening duties such as planting, sowing, weeding, and preparing garden beds and rockeries.
• Maintain gardens, sports grounds and/or facilities which includes the use of accredited applicable trade skills in areas such as horticulture, gardening, or the maintenance of sports grounds.
• Operate, maintain, and adjust turf machinery.
• Apply general trade skills in construction, maintenance and repair tasks using precision hand and power tools and equipment.
• Competently operate hand-held power equipment such as blowers and lawn edgers.
• Competently operate ride-on powered machinery, e.g. ride-on lawn mower.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of gardening tools and equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Undertake general repairs and maintenance of fitting and fixtures to buildings externally and internally consisting of cleaning and safety inspections of drains, paths, roadways, fencing, gates, sporting equipment and shade structures.
• Move rubbish bins out in preparation for emptying and return and clean when empty.
• Collect and deliver equipment, materials, etc. and transport accordingly.
Work Health & Safety
• Ensure compliance with WHS policies, practices, and priorities, within area of responsibility.
• Assist with undertaking safety inspections and audits and action/follow-up as applicable.
• Utilise adequate protective clothing and equipment when undertaking tasks requiring it.
• Assist contractors with familiarity of school facilities and undertake WHS inductions.
• Participate in any WHS-related activities, as required.
General Duties
• Undertake any required training or development activities.
• Actively engage in regular performance reviews.
• Undertake any other duties as required by the Principal.
• May be required to respond to/return to school to attend to service matters out of hours.

SALARY
As the successful candidate, you will receive:
$21,500 – $30,000 plus 11% Superannuation
- National Training Wage Award
- Fully Funded Qualification
