The Role

The Group Account Director serves as the key point of contact for strategic initiatives for a group of clients. This position includes directing and leading the client business, developing and executing plans with consulting, creative and operational partners using all appropriate channels.

This position has revenue generating and financial tracking responsibility for the assigned client base. The person manages an account team and collaborates with many other group resources on behalf of clients, developing best practice knowledge over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to pre-sales efforts, including proposal generation and development of new service offerings.
  • Generate proposals, presentations, and commercials.
  • Seeks additional revenue opportunities by always being aware of scope changes, upgrade opportunities within existing engagements, or new opportunities within a customer's organisation.
  • Rationalise and deliver projected revenue from existing clients, and direct and participate in initiatives that generate new revenue from clients.
  • Maintain relationships with key individuals at all levels of client organisation.
  • Support multiple clients dependent on revenue size and project complexity.
  • Assure flawless execution of client projects, prioritize resources, and keep the team and other groups informed of progress and changes.
  • Create and develop annual account plans and participate in regular account reviews with project teams and account management.
  • Participate in interactive strategy development with the Head of Strategy.
  • Ensure effective staffing levels and quality of staff for required client deliverables including business development proposals.
  • Confident interaction with executive teams.
  • Overall, manage regular revenue and pipeline reporting. Specifically, maintain a profitability report on a project/campaign basis.
  • Manage pipeline forecasting, account planning and account review process.
  • Manage account team by coaching, training, and career development project oversight.
  • Adhere to company guidelines, such as timely completion of performance reviews and time sheets, and accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Help to create standards (documentation/strategies/process) that become T&P best practices.
  • Routinely review client roster with management to assess business potential and profitability of account relationships.
  • Ensure that reporting and operation procedures of account management are efficient and evolving to address changing client and management needs.
