Tax Compliance and Advisory Experience Essential
Our client is an Australian boutique Property firm. The business has established itself as a leading player in their field and has an enviable portfolio of Retail and Commercial Assets. Due to the current growth of the business, an opportunity for a Group Accounting Manager has become available.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your role will be responsible for the following:
Statutory Accounts: Ensure the Group’s consolidated and individual statutory accounts are completed accurately by internal and statutory deadlines.
Tax Returns: Ensure income tax and FBT returns are completed accurately following internal and Tax Office deadlines.
Tax Management: Proactively forecast and manage the Group’s income tax position with early identification of risks and issues.
Debt Facility Management: Proactively monitor external debt facility requirements with reports generated per internal and external deadlines.
Financial Analysis: Provide proactive, forward-looking analysis and management of the Group’s external debt requirements with early identification of risks and issues regarding specific financial measures
Team Support: Provide support and guidance to the Group Reporting & Tax Accountant and junior finance team members when needed.
The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified with experience in tax and accounting or a Tax Manager in a mid-size organisation or a business services background. Having experience in Property would be advantageous. You will be a driven, self-motivated financial professional keen to join a growing team with a fantastic culture and balance. This role would suit a candidate who wants to look for better ways of doing things, asking the right questions, and raising the bar.
