We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Accountant wanting to develop their career and shape a growing business. This role reports directly to the Finance Director and Company Secretary and will work closely with other stakeholders within Wilson Parking.
This role supports effective day-to-day operations and workflow of the Corporate Office finance and administration team. The position is a 12 month maternity leave contract cover, with possible offer of a permanent role at the end of contract period. This role is a Part time position.
Provide accurate financial information to ensure management meets its statutory requirements and achieves strategic business goals across the whole business. Provide accounting support to the Finance Director and Company Secretary and Finance General Manager (Offshore) as well as other stakeholders on financial matters concerning the Group.
Some key duties include:
- Preparation of monthly Board reporting and other internal/external compliance reporting as required, ensuring consistency, accuracy and timeliness of reporting to achieve regulatory and business outcomes
- Assisting with month-end reporting and analysis, including key responsibilities of reconciling intercompany from a group perspective
- Manage and over see external audits
- Manage and over see year end process
- Prepare monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Review Group balance sheet reconciliations
- End to end accounting including journal posting, invoice payments, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations
- Assisting in the preparation supporting work papers for the financial consolidated statements
- Management of finance team
- Management of month end processing
- Knowledge in GST, PAYG, FBT and payroll tax
- Understanding and providing information for the responses to the ABS surveys
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and key contacts in relation to various accounting matters.
What we are looking for:
- At least 5 year’s work experience in a similar role
- PowerBI experience is advantageous
- Microsoft Dynamics AX experience preferred, though not essential
- Payroll experience
- Previous consolidation system implementation experience will be highly valued
- Experience in managing a team
- Experience in the implementation of processing and control systems and demonstrated ability in business process improvement
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- CPA/CA qualified
- Proven experience in similar roles is advantageous.
