The role:
Reporting to the Corporate Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the following accounting tasks across the United Safety and Survivability Corporation Group.
- Cashflow planning
- Hedging of foreign currencies
- Payroll Tax – monthly and yearly grouping lodgments
- BAS – monthly and quarterly
- Shared Services entity month end
- Balance sheet recs for all entities
- ABS Surveys
- Audit
- Tax returns.
- FBT
- Workers comp renewals
- Insurance renewals
- Environmental reporting
- Modern Slavery reporting
- Financing of assets
- Managing the AR and AP teams for all business units·
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience working as a Senior Financial or Treasure Accountant or similar role.
- Experience in Group consolidation reporting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Advanced skills in MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
- Accounting Degree
- CPA/CA qualified or studying preferred.
- Business Services or Auditing background highly regarded
- Experience in medium to large organisation
- Strong people/team management
