The Role: Group IT Manager

Client Overview:
Our client, a pioneer in the Insurance industry known for fostering innovation, is seeking a skilled Group IT Manager to contribute to their global markets business. This Permanent role offers a unique chance to collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to cutting-edge projects that impact the global landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Operations:
• Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the Group’s IT infrastructure and networks, systems, and applications including application and system lifecycle management
• Ensure the availability, security, and reliability of IT services through proactive monitoring, risk assessment and mitigation of issues.
• Manage IT vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements.
Project Management:
• Execution of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Information Security:
• Develop and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
• Responsible for executing DR plan in the event of disaster or disruption
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends and implement measures to mitigate risks.
Compliance and Regulations:
• Ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations, standards, and legal requirements (including DR & BCP)
• Keep abreast of industry regulations and advise on necessary actions.
Qualifications:
• Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with various stakeholders at different levels.
• Strong problem and incident triage skills, to identify and escalate endpoint and service management issues
• Proactive, well organised with excellent time management and with the ability to manage and find solutions for unexpected situations, as well as anticipate problems that may arise in future
• Proven experience (10+ years) in IT leadership roles, preferably in a similar industry (Insurance or Finance) or organisational setting.
• In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, security, and emerging technologies..
