Common Terms Contract Project Manager

The government is rolling out the Common Terms Contract, a major initiative to improve housing contracts for Aboriginal Communities. This contract will update clauses, provide insurance guidance, and offer financial and GST advice for concurrent leases. This position reports to the Director of Performance and Finance, collaborates with the Sector Governance and Analysis manager, and leads a team of three.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Legal team to fine-tune contract clauses and legal terms.
• Navigate and advise on GST implications, particularly in relation to concurrent leases.
• Provide strategic oversight on executive issues and align project goals with broader organizational objectives.
• Apply and enforce housing policies to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Monitor financial compliance and adeptly interpret financial statements.
• Travel across NSW to engage directly with the stakeholers and gather valuable insights.
• Engage with a diverse range of Aboriginal Community to gather insights and ensure their voices are reflected in the contract.
• Travel across NSW to engage and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders to foster a collaborative environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Contract Management Experience: Extensive experience in managing contracts, with a background in legal or compliance.
• GST: Understanding of GST implications in the contract
• Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in project management, ideally with relevant certifications.
• Community Connection: Experience working with Aboriginal communities is highly valued.
• Willingness to Travel: Ready to travel across NSW and engage with communities on their home ground.
• Educational Qualifications: University qualifications in law, compliance, or a related field.
• Certifications: Project management qualifications are essential.
