A new and exciting opportunity has emerged for a Planning and Logistics Manager to join a global manufacturing company renowned for its commitment to quality in Australian manufacturing and logistics. In this role, you will lead a small team and work closely with production, warehousing, sales, and finance teams to drive quality outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to departments, ensuring alignment with company objectives and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a small team
- Support lean manufacturing culture and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement control measures for a safe working environment.
- Develop and manage the annual budget for Planning and Logistics, ensuring cost-effective operations and identifying savings
- Manage activities related to customer demand, master scheduling, capacity planning, and supplier scheduling to meet company objectives
- Ensure efficient storage and transport of inventories, optimise material logistics, maintain inventory accuracy, and utilise company assets effectively
- Oversee international warehouse operations, provide cost-effective global freight solutions, and manage labelling and packaging requirements
Selection Criteria
- Experience in Manufacturing, particularly in the automotive sector, is valued
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain or Logistics/Material Management
- Advanced knowledge in modern ERP systems
- Strong analytical abilities with a keen focus on accuracy and detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities
- Confidence in using own initiative to solve problems
