A leading Flexible Packaging company is in the process of hiring a dynamic Technical Manager to join our regional team. The company develops, manufactures, and supplies packaging materials to food processors and niche industrial packaging applications.
Ongoing change in customers packaging requirements has enabled our company to implement a growth strategy based on innovation which has been supported by investment. As a result of executing on this strategy, the Company has strengthened its reputation as a highly regarded supplier to the food sector. The business has achieved significant growth in its core target market and the development pot contains significant projects that are at various stages of commercialization. In addition to this, strategic relationships with internationally leading suppliers will allow the business to further elevate its position in the market.
The Role
As part of our international search, we are also looking locally for a key member of our executive team. The Group Technical & Development Manager plays an integral role in executing the Company strategy. Providing expert advice to customers and internal staff you will be an expert in paper, polymers, films and packaging. Your knowledge and expertise of Flexible Packaging is a key strength as you will be driving the commercialization of new products and concepts. The Candidate
The ideal candidate will already have a reputation for the above characteristics, but seeks to have additional freedom and autonomy to go further and do more. You will have a desire, and be given the opportunity, to make a significant impact in the market. As a technical leader you will have solid experience in a technical role and an in-depth understanding of polymers. You may currently work for a packaging company and if you have experience in printing and extrusion coating this would be beneficial.

Location
The role will be based in Sydney with frequent travel, including regular visits to New Zealand where the main factory is located.
