About the Role:An exciting opportunity for a H2 Facility Manager has become available to join our New Energy team based on a full-time 24-month fixed term basis.
Woodside is developing the Hydrogen Refueller Project - a self-contained hydrogen production, storage, and refuelling station. The station aims to supply low cost, hydrogen fuel for local customers as well as stimulate and enable hydrogen demand in Western Australia. Hydrogen Refueller is proposed to be built on vacant industrial land in the Rockingham Industry Zone (RIZ), south of Perth.
Reporting to the Head of Operations - New Energy, you will be responsible for providing operations leadership on site of H2 Facility. You will initially transition through all phases of a H2 Facility including early phases based in the Perth office followed by assignment to the facility to support commissioning and start up activities.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Responsible for site safety and regulatory compliance of H2 facility.
- Leadership of operations (shift) and maintenance workers on site.
- Responsible for communication with internal Woodside departments and external stakeholders, including customers, auditors, regulatory bodies (DMIRS), DFES, for all H2 facility related matters to ensure smooth and compliant operation of facility.
- Responsible for application of strategies to reduce H2 facility operational costs, investment planning and asset lifecycle management.
- Responsible for plant performance reporting, process optimisation and product quality control.
- Assist in technical training and competency assessment of Project and Operational personnel to support Ready for Start-up (RFSU) and Operational requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure Operations and Maintenance outcomes are an integral part of design decisions.
- High level of H2 facility (industrial gas plant) technical capability and understanding of Woodside operational processes and systems.
- Skilled in safety and environmental requirements, including Process safety management.
- Ability to influence and earn credibility across all levels of the organisation including contractors.
- Demonstrate positive influence on team and organisation, attention to detail and process focused.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Greater than 8 years operational experience in the hydrogen or industrial gas industry.
- In addition to above, level of experience required will be commensurate with complexity of facility.
