About the Role
Reporting into the Head of Service, you will be at the forefront of customer care, providing solutions to customers experience financial difficulties. This position requires candidates with experience in a hardship or collections role particularly in banking and financial services. The role has plenty of scope for growth and development, from a solid platform of Credit and Collections within the lucrative Mortgages Home Loans sector. You will have a passion for teamwork and collaboration, as well as the ability to thrive and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing hardship applications and financial statements to assess hardship eligibility
- Develop and implement repayment plans
- Act as primary point of contact for clients experiencing financial difficulties
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate support services for customers
- Adhering to companies’ policies and compliance obligations throughout the collection and hardship process
- Engage with other departments, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance
- Review and manage customer complaints
- General ad-hoc collections activities
About You
To be successful in this role you will have experience in hardship, preferably in a non-bank environment. You will have a high level of attention to detail and ability to identify risks before they arise. You will enjoy the opportunity to apply your listening and problem-solving skills in a positive team environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to utilise the required IT systems/databases, along with the ability to thrive in a team environment, are all important for this role. You will possess the ability to work in a Mortgage Operations environment and work closely with key stakeholders internally and externally. Mortgage hardship experience will be highly desired.
