Position Description
L&D Canberra are offering a full-time position for a Hazardous Materials Consultant to join our team.
The salary for the role will be very competitive but will be dictated by the candidates knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting assessments of residential and commercial sites for Hazardous Materials including asbestos and lead paint
- Lead and conduct asbestos and lead hygiene work
- Producing reports of various scopes and detail
- Conducting air monitoring for various airborne contaminants
- Undertaking laboratory analysis of filters and bulk samples for asbestos
- Assistance with maintaining L&D’s quality management systems under ISO 17025 and ISO 9001
About you

- Has an interest/background in the field of science
- Is focused, organised, and motivated

- A current Asbestos Assessors Licence
- A current unrestricted drivers licence
- Has a desire to learn new skills
- Proficiency in MS Word
- Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative
