Newman residential opportunities are on a Lifestyle roster (4 days on - 5 off, 5 nights on - 4 off, 5 days on - 5 off, 4 nights on - 5 off, 5 days on - 4 off, 5 nights on - 5 off). Newman Operations is part of Western Australian Iron Ore and consists of two mining sites in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people. Comprising of Newman East and Newman West - Newman Operations accounts for about 78 million tonnes in total iron ore production. Responsibilities include: This role is primarily an inspection and breakdown fitter role on Liebherr 9400, 996B, Epiroc PV271 and D65 Drills Field Service: In Field Digger and Drill breakdowns, digger & drill experience highly regarded - specifically Liebherr and Epiroc Following scheduled planned / breakdown maintenance and carrying out inspections on equipment as required Execute work orders as per schedule and to a high standard Completing inspections and repairs as per the maintenance strategies Scoping and creating 1SAP notifications for preventative work About YouReporting to the Field Maintenance Superintendent, within the Mobile Equipment Maintenance team, we are looking for candidates who possess the following: Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic Previous experience in mining, in field service - desirable Liehberr and Epiroc knowledge highly desirable Highly safety focused Team focussed, with a positive team oriented nature Autonomous work ethic Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to work as part of a diverse team About Our Process At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
