Requiring a permanent Head Chef role for our award winnig cafe at Flinders University working predominately daytime Monday to Friday with occassional out of hours function and events.
Position Responsibilities
- Professional cooking and food presentation skills
- Able to cook contemporary cafe food with a strong emphasis on healthy, vegetarian and vegan foods, with a Middle Eastern and Asian influence.
- create cost effective and tasty menus
- Lead the kitchen staff with cleanliness of kitchen and associated areas
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Work positively and co-cooperatively with all team members
- Prevent wastage and theft of goods
- Prevent and eliminate unsafe work practices or incidents immediately
