Lifeview is Rainbow Tick accredited and Lifeview was nationally awarded winning “Planting with a Purpose” programme 2021 and 2023 and is incorporated as an integral aspect of resident’s lifestyle. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join our hospitality team, to drive the kitchen in line with our principles and make the difference. Your shifts will be filled with rewarding moments as you enhance the lives of residents.
To be considered for this role, you must hold the necessary qualifications, commercial cookery and current Food Safety Supervisor’s certificates, current police check together, with the experience to lead a dynamic team to deliver beautifully presented and nutritional meals to our residents.
You will also ideally:
- Have aged care experience.
- Have a working understanding of special dietary requirements.
- Cert IV in Commercial Catering and minimum 5 years in the industry in various role
- Overall responsibility and management of the kitchen within the budget
- Ensure the catering service is of a high quality that exceeds resident needs while also meeting all special dietary requirements.
- Liaising with approved suppliers to ensure efficient supply and delivery of orders.
- Demonstrated previous experience in maintaining the Food Safety plan and all required documentation for the home.
- Experience in managing a team, and rostering.
- Ability to engage with diverse team of employees
- Proven ability to build and maintain a fantastic relationship with residents and staff across the residence.
- Working knowledge of computers, ordering online, excel, word, e-mail as a minimum
- Ability to work with modern kitchen equipment.
