Head Chef - Maha Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for a professional Head Chef to amaze the patrons of our establishment. You will maintain constancy and collaborate with our Group Head Chef to develop and deliver our product.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menus in collaboration with our owner and Group Head Chef.
• Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations.
• Follow the guidance of the Group Head Chef and have input in new ways of presentation.
• Put effort in optimising the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.
• Enforce strict health and hygiene standards.
• Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation.
• Manage COGs and wage costs 

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Head Chef role (min 3 years).
• Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Knowledge of best cooking practices.
• Relevant trade certificate.
• Must be able to work in Australia in a full-time capacity .
