La Boite is Australia’s longest continuously running theatre company, celebrating its 100th year of operation in 2025.
Located in Kelvin Grove Brisbane, La Boite is home to the iconic 400 seat Roundhouse Theatre, the country’s only purpose-built theatre in-the-round.
La Boite has a proud reputation for developing artists and audiences – with the aim to push the boundaries of theatre and create a pathway for local and national artists to mainstream stages in Brisbane and beyond.
La Boite plays a crucial role in the local, state and national arts sector as an incubator and producer of new work, with a dedicated focus on the sustainability of Brisbane based arts practice from emerging to established practitioners, producers, and arts managers.

Position Overview:
Type: Full Time
Hours: 38 hrs p/week (9am to 5.30pm)
Reporting to: Artistic Director/CEO
Supervising: Marketing Coordinator, Graphic Designer and external PR Agency
GOAL
Maximise box office revenue, grow La Boite audiences and increase brand awareness through innovative and high-quality marketing, advertising and Audience Development strategies and activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive marketing campaigns for La Boite’s season, productions, and programs.
- Plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive Audience Development strategies that support La Boite’s Strategic Plan, specifically the goal to build and retain diverse audiences.
- Work collaboratively within the organisation and build and maintain strategic external relationships to implement La Boite’s Strategic Goals.
- Be responsible for providing a high level of customer service.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential Experience
- Minimum 5 years of marketing experience in the Arts with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Tertiary qualification in marketing or related field.
- Proficiency in media strategy development and implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage research and derive actionable insights.
- Exceptional organisational skills with adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of social and digital trends, along with experience in SEO, channel optimisation and web analytics.
- Experience with database/CRM systems; budgeting and business planning skills.
- Knowledge of the Australian cultural sector with a focus on contemporary arts and diverse communities.

- Required prior to commencing: Queensland Blue Card – Working with Children
NB. The requirements of this position include a degree of flexibility as you will be expected to work on events that may fall outside of usual hours or for additional hours to meet our changing business needs and the demands of your role.
