About the Company This successful multinational business delivers innovative and market-leading engineering and construction (EPC) services to customers requiring mission-critical power solutions. This includes both on-grid and off-grid permanent and standby power for clients operating within infrastructure, heavy industry, mining, oil & gas and large commercial buildings including data centres and hospitals. They have also developed Hybrid Solutions integrating equipment with battery storage technologies, UPS, micro-grids, wind and solar farms. Key Accountabilities
Reporting to the General Manager the Head of Business Development / Head of Project Sales will collaborate with the internal bid team, engineering, project managers, finance and marketing, along with other business unit managers to increase sales opportunities and maximise project revenue for the company. You will manage and coach a national team of experienced Business Development managers tasked with delivering a $100 million dollar plus sales budget (forecast to double in five years). You are accountable for implementing national growth strategies for key accounts, develop long-lasting business relationships and negotiating with key customers, industry partners and stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Experience
As a highly motivated National Business Development Manager / Head of Project Sales you will have proven success in winning new business and developing existing client relationships. Ideally you will have worked with qualified engineers or within an organisation that offers turnkey application engineering solutions for their clients. This may include large scale mechanical or electrical equipment used within industrial, manufacturing or power generation applications. Specific experience within the mining, energy, construction or broad infrastructure sectors would be well regarded. Preferably you will have a business, commercial or technical qualification and be respected as a Business Development professional with success in growing strategic accounts, project pipelines and offering winning solutions and innovative ideas that meet or exceed your customer’s requirements. Finally, you will be viewed as a trusted mentor and have demonstrated success in developing and coaching high performing sales professionals.
