A bit about the role 

You will coordinate development of an annual, 4-year and 10-year Capital Works Program (CWP) in alignment with Council’s Integrated Strategic Planning Framework, Strategic Service Plans and Asset Management Plans.

This role will lead the Infrastructure Project Hub function to improve the organisations project management capability for successful infrastructure project delivery.

What you’ll deliver 

  • Design and prepare reports to assist in monitoring and decision making for Council, Council’s Executive Leadership Team and a variety of other stakeholders.
  • Participate in developing the Council’s annual plan, strategic services plans, budget and monitor its performance.
  • Identify opportunities to use technology that improves the effectiveness of the team.
  • Drive use of Casey’s project management framework, procedures and templates for each infrastructure project from scoping to project review.
  • Support the City and Asset Planning leadership team to achieve strategic objectives and other operational requirements.
  • Contribute to and drive departmental / divisional/ company strategic planning objectives and initiatives as part of the leadership team.
  • Actively advocate for and seek out opportunities to achieve shared outcome.
  • Collaborate and build partnerships that transcend traditional and community boundaries.

What you’ll bring 

  • Degree or diploma with several years of relevant experience; or higher formal qualifications with a shorter period of experience; or lesser formal qualifications supported by extensive relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in development of annual and long-term capital works programs.
  • Experience in implementing and uplifting organisational project management practice and culture.
  • Ability to lead, coach and develop teams.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check & Eligibility to Work check.
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
