Configured Mill Lining offering creates customer value by best price with adequate lead time and quality instead of continuous optimization of customer's production performance. Offering targets to provide a price-driven solution for customers in various industrial segments. The offering is based on configurable products with limited product variation and design-to-cost priority. The Head of Configured Mill Lining is responsible for establishing and leading the growth of this offering. This position is a Mill Lining Business Line leadership team member and reports directly to the SVP, Mill Lining Business Line.
The position can be based in any major Metso location in Europe, North- and South America or Asia Pacific but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. However, the position involves up to 20% of travel.
What you'll do
- Lead and develop a highly professional and motivated service product management organization for the Product Group
- Develop and execute the global product strategy and roadmap for our Configured Mill Lining products, based on customer insights, market opportunities, and competitive advantages.
- Lead and manage the service product portfolio development and life cycle decisions
- Lead actions for product growth and profitability
- Define and implement Configured Mill Lining product pricing strategy
- Responsible for performance optimization, e.g., Wear monitoring & analysis, simulation, Digital Twin
- Ensure product go-to-market implementation
- High customer satisfaction related to the Configured Mill Lining product portfolio
- Contribute as a member of the Business Line management team. Mill Lining business belongs to Consumables Business Area in Metso
Who you are
- Master's degree or higher in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in senior product management or in the mining or relevant industrial machinery industry.
- An understanding of the mining market, customers, competitors, and technologies. Preferably in Mill Lining.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a global team of product managers and product specialists.
- A strategic mindset and a strong business acumen.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- High degree of creativity and innovation.
- Willingness to travel globally up to 20% of the time.
