WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA) oversees the strategic commissioning functions of the three federally funded Primary Health Networks (PHN’s) in Western Australia.

About This Role:
The Head of Contract Management & Procurement reports to the EGM Commissioned Services and is a member of WAPHA’s senior leadership team.
Leading three management level direct reports, with responsibility for overseeing a functional team of 20 +, this role is responsible for strategically directing and managing WAPHA’s contract and procurement function.
You will champion a culture of excellence and innovation across WAPHA’s strategic contract and procurement practices. This will be achieved by stablishing relationships, enhancing technology, driving performance and data driven decision making to ensure exceptional outcomes, so as to deliver on WAPHA’s vision of ‘Better Health, together.’

About You:
This senior leadership position requires a proactive, effective leader who is outcomes focused and has an extensive track record of leading a high performing contracts and procurement function.
Creating great teams, whilst driving innovation, continuous improvement and fostering a culture of collaboration will be part of your track record. Strong alignment to the WAPHA values of courage, humility, respect, wisdom and integrity will also be apparent in all aspects of your work.
Your background will encompass significant hands-on experience at a strategic management level with varied and complex procurement and CONTRACT MANAGEMENT activities. Strong business acumen, with the ability to deliver on high performing contract outcomes is essential. Exposure to working within the healthcare or government sector will be advantageous.
Whilst approaching each activity with a collaborative mindset, you will work seamlessly with various internal and external stakeholders and be adept at balancing competing priorities in a dynamic, intricate contracts and procurement environment to deliver exceptional procurement and contract performance.
