• Make a difference leading Agriculture education across the College
• Lead and develop a talented teaching team
• Manage departmental operations including the writing and evaluation of Science curriculum

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement curriculum programs aligned with the School's Learning Framework.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.
• Establish and review students' learning goals and adapt curriculum programs accordingly.
• Engage in continuous reflection on teaching practices and actively participate in the School's Personal Learning Programme.
• Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate student activities and share teaching insights.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and learning outcomes.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Contribute to the School and wider community through active involvement in co-curricular activities.
• Maintain accurate records and meet deadlines with precision.

Required:

• Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Completion of Safeguarding Children Checks.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in classroom behaviour management techniques.
• Ability to positively influence others and react effectively in challenging situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships easily.
