Our member is seeking the requirements of an experienced Head of Finance specialist to provide financial and procurement advice through planning and budgeting, forecasting, analysis of expenditure, cost modelling, process and service improvements, and financial data analysis including record compliance for effective financial control.
Supported by operational leaders (Manager Finance and Manager Procurement), the successful candidate will be required to think strategically and acts operationally, bringing strong stakeholder relationship and business partnering skills to the team.
You will be required to have relevant qualifications and experience to lead a small team and ensure the accurate and timely delivery of all services within scope.
Position responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Leading the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting on the organisations budget, cash flow, profit & loss, expenses, and controls are in place to ensure financial sustainability.
- Ensuring the effective management of Finance and Procurement through business planning, financial reporting, and the implementation of appropriate policies/controls in line with required standard
- Leading the design, delivery, and evolution of the organisations accounting, statutory reporting, fleet, and procurement services to ensure alignment with strategy, Victorian Government policy, and statutory obligation
- Providing strategic advice, direction, and reporting at various intervals to organisations Board, Executive Leadership Team, and the Finance and Procurement team on all services within scope.
- Minimum 8+ years’ applied experience.
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Professional accounting certification.
- Knowledge of contemporary accounting, fleet, and procurement practices.
- Knowledge of commercial drivers and their application.
- Demonstrated team leadership experience.
