The role
We have an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Finance Business partners and senior managers, develop a best-in-class finance partnering function. This role is pivotal in turning insights into actions, drive business performance and profitability, analyse financial results and provide support through the budgeting and forecasting process.
In this role, you will be accountable for setting the guardrails and holding the Business Units to account in order to drive financial performance. The role will ensure that the organisation operates with financial coherence and that the senior leaders and stakeholders have a transparent view of how their Business Units are performing, giving clarity on the financial impact of their strategic, operational and trading decisions.
The responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Partner with business unit leaders to deliver their business unit’s annual budget and forecast and support in the preparation of strategic plans.
- Prepare and distribute business unit specific financial analysis, management reporting and insights.
- Prepare financial analysis to support business case initiatives and track costs and benefits.
- Identify and analyse key financial trends and metrics for budget and forecasting.
- Identify and drive continuous process improvement initiatives within the Property FBP team, including across financial models used to create budgets and forecasts.
About You
We are looking for a passionate and engaged leader who is able to grasp the business requirement and develop solutions. You will have significant experience in leading Finance Business Partnering in a commercial finance environment. You will also have;
- Strong commercial and financial acumen to provide insights-based reporting and recommendations that support strategic business objectives.
- Previous experience partnering with executives and senior management with strong communications skills to effectively convey financial information and influence decision-making.
- Experience developing and using complex financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Advanced understanding of best practice, industry trends and emerging technologies in Finance Business Partnering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field and CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualification are essential.
