The Role
The Head of Finance - National Operations role partners directly with the Director of Operations, supporting the National Operations team in achieving their strategic business objectives. This role will partner with Retail Optimisation (which includes Simpler for Stores), Supply Chain and Customer Connections to provide decision support, analysis and insights to support the Group Capability teams in achieving theirs and Endeavour’s strategic ambitions. This role will work closely with the Retail Brands, BWS and Dan Murphy's and will have a key focus on driving and realising Endeavour’s retail optimisation program of initiatives.
What You’ll be Doing
- Proactive leadership of the budget, forecast and month end processes involving the National Operations and Retail Optimisation team, including alignment across Endeavour teams and communication of initiatives
- Have a solid understanding of retail operations and key financial and non-financial drivers to support the analysis and identification of productivity and transformational initiatives to deliver cost savings across the business and specifically within the retail brands. Build business cases and measure and report against KPIs.
- Work closely with the Brand LT and finance teams, in particular the Operations teams to ensure reporting and communication meets the needs of the business and risks and opportunities are identified upfront. The accountability of cost saving initiatives sits across a number of teams and critical to the success of this role will be working across Endeavour teams to ensure alignment, reporting and cost saving realisation within the Brands is achieved.
- Provide insightful reporting and analysis to support the business in making key decisions, with team, customer and commercials in mind
- Support the Endeavour retail Supply Chain and eCom fulfilment strategies, working closely with the teams and providing strategic recommendations in line with the Endeavour strategy.
- Support strategic and project analysis to drive improved returns on capital investments and business initiatives
About You
- Minimum of 12+ years relevant experience with CA/CPA Qualification
- Previous management experience of multi-functional team and / or experience in
- the retail or FMCG sectors desirable
- Understanding of retail operations
- Experience in delivering productivity/transformational strategies
- Strong presentation and storyboarding skills and able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience; able to make the complex simple
- Advanced leadership, coaching, mentoring and development skills
- Ability to prioritise team efforts to support business requirements
