About the role
It's an exciting time to join Senex with the recent announcement that we plan to invest more than A$1 billion in a major expansion of our Atlas and Roma North natural gas assets.
Reporting to the GM Finance & Business Services, the Head of Financial Reporting will join us in Brisbane and leading a qualified and capable team withing an established finance team function.
Having adopted Korean SOX requirements, you will have the primary responsibility for Group and Statutory Financial Reporting and Tax compliance.
There is a strong finance function (ca 20 staff), with peer-based leaders heading up finance operations and FP&A. Collaborating with other individuals and teams within Finance and other departments, you will assist in meeting deadlines and achieving deliverables.
Your key accountabilities will cover the following areas:
- Leadership and Mentoring - motivating and developing the team
- Financial Reporting (K-SOX compliance) - main point of contact both technically within the team as well as external. Provide support and drive the deadlines and deliverables.
We are seeking a CA qualified professional with superior technical, organisational and leadership skills. You will have at least 10 years' experience. Prior experience in external audit with one of the Big 4 is an advantage.
Ideally, you will bring a wealth of experience in Statutory reporting and Tax compliance and have had end to end ownership of Financial Reporting deliverables. A strong understanding of internal control frameworks and experience with SOX is highly regarded.
While you are an excellent communicator, you also enjoy working in a dynamic team environment.
