The role:
As the Head of GenAI Product Strategy, you will partner with key stakeholders and business units (BU) to identify and prioritise GenAI use cases that deliver genuine value for experimentation and broader pilot/scaled rollout. You will ensure key stakeholders and squads are across the product vision, roadmap, goals, plans and expectations and support squads to define and plan work, to achieve the prioritised use cases / business outcomes. You will ensure squads engaged in delivering these use cases / business outcomes comply with processes regarding quality control, communicating progress, and stakeholder management. You will liaise between business and technology to coordinate delivery of these initiatives; and support / facilitate conceptual high-level solution design for new use cases. It will be important in this role to stay across new industry and market capabilities to help inform future opportunities and drive the GenAI strategy across the Group coupled with contribute to broader program and strategic leadership forums.
The day to day responsibilities will include:
Drive business unit engagement to build a backlog and prioritise GenAI use cases for experimentation, pilot and scaled delivery
E2E accountability for Product development lifecycle, including confirming BU funding for all phases:
upfront strategy, discovery, ideation, OoM level estimation
Design and prioritisation
Build and launch of use cases
Scale and run use cases (growth, adoption)
Build and maintain knowledge of latest market and ecosystem capabilities to help inform the forward-looking strategy for GenAI
Provide targeted communication to all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of dependencies, deliverables, and issues as well as to measure and manage stakeholder expectations
People leadership and ongoing development of Product Owner capability
What you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar senior leadership AI Product Strategy role coupled with an in depth knowledge and understanding of GenAI capabilities.
- Extensive experience in complex project, program, portfolio, and/or delivery management, preferably with broad and in-depth industry experience in Banking and Financial Services.
- Proven experience in agile ways of working and agile at scale approach
- Demonstrate ability in managing and leading the delivery of complex programs containing multiple streams, with multiple vendors.
- Proven ability in mobilising and supporting large, cross-functional and self-managing teams
- Extensive use of structured program and project management methodologies, inclusive of change management and technology delivery.
- Proven analytical skills and evidence-based decision making along with the ability to innovate, adapt and grasp new skills and capabilities.
- Data science experience preferred
- Proven ability to communicate with influence and build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Relevant tertiary qualification related discipline
